• Shamaila Khan will join the firm as Head of Fixed Income for Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific
• She succeeds Hayden Briscoe who takes on a new role as APAC Head of Multi-Asset Portfolio Management for Investment Solutions, in addition to his role as Head of Hong Kong AM

New York, March 23, 2023 – ��ţ�������� Asset Management today announced that Shamaila Khan will join the firm as Head of Fixed Income for Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific, effective 1 April 2023. She will report to Charlotte Baenninger, Global Head of Fixed Income, and become a member of the Fixed Income Investment Forum. She will be based in New York.

Shamaila is a seasoned investor, with more than 23 years’ experience in EM sovereigns and corporates, hard and local currency. Most recently, she was Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income at AllianceBernstein, where she oversaw USD 33bn AuM across EM dedicated strategies and EM exposure in multisector accounts, and led a high performing team based in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Shamaila was also portfolio manager on several global multi-sector fixed income funds as well as EM multi-asset funds. She has a strong track record in designing and launching innovative products, including sustainability-focused EM strategies.

Shamaila succeeds Hayden Briscoe, who is taking on the new role of APAC Head of Multi-Asset Portfolio Management for Investment Solutions, in addition to his role as Head of Hong Kong AM. In his new role, Hayden will report to Ryan Primmer, Global Head of Investment Solutions and will be responsible for leading the portfolio management of Asset Management’s APAC-based Multi-Asset portfolios. He will also play an important role in capitalizing on the synergies between our Investment Solutions and Fixed Income teams in the region and will continue to be a member of the Fixed Income Investment Forum.
